Account Manager USA/ Lifestyle retail

Simris is a pioneering Scandinavian wellness brand, developing high-end products from algae. Simris® Algae Omega-3 is a unique line of ingestibles from farmed algae, now launching at select retailers in the United States. Our algae farm in scenic Österlen, Sweden, is a flagship for sustainability and green innovation, and we have been featured in publications such as Elle, L’Officiel, Wallpaper*, Wired and on CBS. We are now looking for our first Los Angeles-based Account Manager, to develop, support and maintain relationships with our retail customers and ensure a successful launch of the award-winning Simris brand in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-going professional who enjoys working over the whole sales cycle and is eager to see results. You will deal with the full range, from high-level meetings with buyers, to hands-on in-store demos – and everything in between. Our US retailers primarily consist of trendsetting stores and destinations in the emerging prestige wellness category, known for their high standards and careful curation of brands. Your role as our Account Manager will be to build and grow profitable and mutual business partnerships with this exciting category of retailers. Ideally, you have done this before, and grown a budding brand into the next national retail success. Now, it is your turn to make the US fall in love with algae.


  • Overall management and point of contact for Simris retailers, handling of all customer-related questions, inquiries, and orders professionally and promptly
  • Develop close, happy and trusting relationships with existing and new retailers, including decision makers, category buyers, store managers and in-store staff
  • Actively working on increasing repeat sales, obtaining more and better shelf space, larger product selections, and access to promotional opportunities at each retailer
  • Identify and recruit new accounts in line with Simris’ retail strategy
  • Onboarding of new retailers and setting up of internal workflows for impeccable customer service, order management and repeat sales
  • Education and training of retail and in-store staff on our brand and products, so that they can deliver an engaging and inspiring experience to their customers
  • Ensure our brand and products are presented according to Simris standards with eye-catching, polished and professional displays, and make sure everything looks great on the shelves
  • Plan and execute in-store events, such as product demos and other promotional activities
  • Being an ambassador for Simris and the Simris lifestyle


  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience within Sales and Account Management, working with high-end retailers in wellness, beauty, fitness and/or fashion. Product launch and/or brand launch experience is a plus – and so is a strong existing network among our target retailers
  • Experience of planning and execution of in-store activities such as stocking and filling of shelves, creating displays and demo tables, in-store promotions, staff clinics etc
  • You have excellent organizational skills, are able to plan and execute your own work, and are great at following through. You work independently but you work for #TeamSimris
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with many different personality types and levels within retailer organizations. You are a great communicator and are able to truly listen to customers. You have a proven track record of successfully building and growing relationships
  • You are results and goal oriented, with a strong work ethic and a sincere desire to make a difference. You are passionate, outgoing and tenacious, with a high level of integrity, and strong personal motivation
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and auto insurance is mandatory. Access to reliable mode of transportation with storage space for merchandise etc. is a plus
  • Able and willing to travel frequently and regularly, mainly within Los Angeles/SoCal, but also Northern California and occasionally other states (mainly New York) and overseas (Sweden)
  • Able and willing to work a flexible schedule including after-hours and weekends for e.g. events, business meetings, and presentations
  • You must be able to perform physical duties such as continuous standing & walking for hours, and lifting, carrying and unpacking of boxes and props
  • Since we are a remote team, you must be comfortable with technology and able to work with modern communication and management tools (e.g. Slack, Trello, Pipedrive)



This is a full-time position, based in Los Angeles.
